Luxury Hotels in Las Vegas
Our Experience with A Luxury Hotel in Las Vegas
One of our favorite anniversaries was our 15th that we
spend in Las Vegas at a top Las Vegas Hotel.
I surprised my wife and told her we were going some place
warm and someplace where I needed to wear a tux.
She picked out and bought a killer white flowing formal
dress and on the day before our anniversary, we went to
the airport and I told her we were on our way to Vegas.
I was able to get a great deal on a Luxury Suite at the
Bellagio over looking the fountains (you have to ask or
they will place you where ever they have space). We loved
the Bellagio - the art, the flowers, the beauty. We found
that we could turn the channel of the TV to a certain station
and listen to the music of the fountains and watch them
from our big windows.
At the time, Bellagio was running a bunch of commercials
with the song "Romanza" and they had a fountain
show to the theme. It was a magical moment. To this day,
anytime I put on the song, "Romanza", my wife
will smile at me, come over and give me a wonderful hug.
The restaurants at the Bellagio are some of our favorites
in Vegas as well.
During our anniversary, we also took a helicopter ride
to the Grand Canyon, went white water rafting (pretty tame
- not too much white water), and for the crowning event
of the trip, we went and saw the "Three Tenors".
My wife dressed up in her formal white dress and I was in
my tux and everyone thought we had just gotten married,
even though it had been 15 year and six kids! It was fun
to pretend to be newlyweds!
During the trip, I also gave my wife a new wedding ring.
She had lost hers several years before, and loved the design,
so I had a jeweler remake a ring exactly like the original
(only with a bigger rock!).
Spending the extra money to stay in a Luxury Hotel in Vegas
was well worth it and made the trip one we will always remember.
